The Tooth located near Snoqualmie pass is a classic easy climb. Close to Seattle and a short hike from the Alpental parking lot; it is a popular climb everyone needs to do at least once. Phil, Jeff, and Greg climbed it one foggy day in July. We had about 40 feet of visibility but still had a good time.
He's a good picture of Jeff (on the right) because he keeps bugging
me to post some pictures from this trip.
Phil contemplating the rack - "let's see, a couple cams, some nuts -
should be plenty."
Addendum: Phil saw this trip report and didn't remember bringing cams. Good thing I
didn't show him this picture.
Starting up the second pitch.
The lack of visibility negated any "fear of hights" issues. If
you can't see the ground you don't know how far away it is. The fog
none-the-less had a nice alpine feel to it.
Jeff finishing the last bit of climbing at the top.
On the way down we did single rope rappels but still had the rope get
hung. There were also a few thunder claps for excitement.
