I didn't bring my camera along on this trip because it's just too damn heavy. I've decided from now on to just bring a tiny point and shoot for climbs and have the SLR be kind of a "base camp camera". This way I can have the point and shoot handy for action shots and use the SLR to capture sunsets and so forth. It's too bad I didn't have the new camera already because this was a really scenic climb (it is in the mail at the time of this writing). Fortunately Phil took his camera and got some nice shots. There's a link to his trip report below.
I do have one thing to add to Phil's trip report. Dave drooled all over himself. He was sitting in the passenger seat of my truck opening up a sandwich from Subway and looking like he was about to say something. It was like a bucket-o-drool. I've never seen anybody drool that much at once and I used to work in a mental hospital. I guess that sandwich had him pretty excited - maybe it was the Parmesian bread, maybe it was the Ceasar's sauce. If you're going somewhere with Dave and you so much as drive past a Subway's I'd be careful. If there is any Pavlovian conditioning going on here at all somebody, hopefully Dave, is in for a serious soaking. You might wanna have some paper towels handy.
