Coded Messages: CHAINS explores an intercultural interface ecosystem by juxtaposing the drum language performance of the Ewe people of Ghana, West Africa, with the advertisements of multinational corporate society. The performance strategies of CHAINS are based on the compositional and media integration aesthetics of Ewe performances -- which blend drumming, dancing, singing, costumes and architecture in a unified expressive form -- and avant garde performance strategies from environmental theater and new music. Like the site specific performances in the remote village of Anyako and the historic slave trade Castle at Cape Coast, which preceeded it, the CHAINS WWW site builds its context into the delivery of its messages. The CHAINS site is ranked in The Top 5% of all Web Sites.

Tributes to blues greats, radio listings, Billboard's top 15, and links to other sites. The history of the blues is more than a musical chronology. The blues was born the day the West African shoreline fell from the horizon. It was raised amid the institutionalized savagery of the Deep South and flourished in the dark heart of America's largest cities. We owe the blues to those who bore the pain of enslavement behind the frightful shadows of our collective soul. The Blue Highway, then, is dedicated to the men and women who traveled beyond our ignorant place, and to those who could not. (An excerpt from the Blue Highway Website)
