PGOPS (Professional Geographers of Puget Sound)
Formed in the late 1980s as an interest group of geographers working in the area, it continues as a loosely organized group, with dues still set at $12/year. UW geography students should seek this group out if they hope to work as professionals in the area. Members work in all facets of geography and most are happy to talk with students and encourage their efforts.
