However I can't verify that because i does not know the correct bios versions where that happened.(not verified but it has been reported on: "new" IBM thinkpads) BTW another interesting approach to build bootable linux cds is at: http://www.bablokb.de/bblcd/ He seperates the initrd filesystem from the "real" root filesystem. I think that's a "cleaner" solution than my /dev/ram0 one, although it has some disadvantages.
