My original post about using the GAL with Entourage 2008 caught UWTech's attention, and Greg Shymko was kind enough to update me on the Exchange Team's changes to the netid authentication scheme that is used by the GAL.
Accessing the GAL in Entourage 2008 originally didn't work unless you checked the "This server requires me to log on" box. However, now it works without the log on.I've uploaded an updated instruction sheet for configuring Entourage 2008; it still requires UWNetID to access.
Update: I've also created an Applescript that UW Faculty/staff/students can use to automatically create an Exchange account in Entourage 2004/2008, pre-populated with account info (except password) and all Exchange server information (5/10/2008)
