Teaching Interests
I am interested in guiding students to make connections between natural systems - the interactions
between atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, biosphere, and cryosphere that forge the
complexity and marvel of the world around us.Deep understanding comes from experience and context. It has been my privilege to study the dynamics of
earth surface systems in outstanding natural locations, and to build experience and context with exceptional peers.
I aspire to provide the same for my students.
