EDM Junk Email Filter Usage: four graphs

The Email Delivery Manager (EDM) provides an option to filter spam messages to the customer's 'deskmail' "junk-mail" folder. This is enabled by default for UW Email (aka 'deskmail') accounts. The graphs below show daily records of:

• How many junk-mail folders exist
• The total number of messages contained in all the junk-mail folders
• The total number of messages deleted from all the junk-mail folders

Graphs are produced from source data in /sx00/pinetest/junkstats

For reference, as of June 2012 about 42,000 UW NetIDs have forwarding set to the deskmail servers. And the total number of deskmail accounts is about 69,000.

• Red : Last 60 days Total messages currently stored in the junk-mail folders
• Green : Total messages deleted from the junk-mail folders (ie those over 7 days old)

• Red : Total messages currently stored in the junk-mail folders
• Green : Total messages deleted from the junk-mail folders (ie those over 7 days old)
• The spike in late 2006 reflects a few days when the pruning process did not run and then a large counts when it was restarted and had to catch up.
