Accessible Web Design Workshop

This workshop is designed to help UW instructors learn the basics about effective and appropriate design of Web sites for education. Issues addressed include legal requirements, basic precepts, priorities for retrofitting existing pages, and tools for evaluation. Workshop Length: 1.5 hours

  1. Understand legal requirements for accessible design
  2. Discover accessibility-related issues for students with disabilities
  3. Prioritize accessible design elements
  4. Assemble a list of resources for ongoing accessible design support
