Tsunami Deposits and their Role in Hazard Mitigation (June, 2005) – This web page contains information from a workshop focused on the application of the geologic record of tsunamis. Earth scientists from all over the world convened in June of 2005 to discuss issues brought to the forefront of research by the Sumatra-Andaman earthquake and its global tsunami.

Tsunami Sedimentology and Its Role in Hazard Awareness, Preparedness, Assessment and Mitigation (December, 2011) – This NSF Earth Sciences sponsored workshop will bring researchers together who study tsunamis from different perspectives, such physical and social sciences and engineering, to develop priorities for interdisciplinary research on tsunami sedimentology, and to project how this research can be employed to increase awareness of and preparedness for tsunami hazard, as well as help to develop better hazard assessments and mitigation designs.
