New Page for Alpha Releases
</title>
<description>
I have separated the main page of patches into two. One for alpha or
pre releases, and another one for main releases. The main page will be
only for main releases (e.g. 1.00, etc.), and the page for alpha
releases (which will have its own feed too) is
http://staff.washington.edu/chappa/alpine/alpha/. In the future this
feed will be used for major announcements in this site, but announcements
related to alpha releases will be done through a separate feed.

Fix a bug that makes Alpine add spaces to flowed text messages
</title>
<description>
Every time that Alpine sends a message in format=flowed, it stuffs a line that
begins with a space with another space. This is normal. The problem is that if
sending the message fails for any reason (e.g the connection to an external SMTP
server is lost), then Alpine will add another space the next time it attempts to
send the message, and so on, until the message is successfully sent. This patch
fixes the inconvenience that this creates.

Updated Rules Patch
</title>
<description>
There is a bug in the rules patch which makes Alpine create envelopes for
messages for which it only needs index data information. This makes Alpine
slow down on remote news collections. Fix includes in all.patch.

Updated Maildir Patch
</title>
<description>
I have added support for UIDs to the Maildir patch for the snapshot
version of the patch. This is experimental and I do not have plans to roll
it back to version 1.00 until I have tested it enough. UIDs are important
in IMAP and I believe that this is the last piece that will make the associated
imap server fully working. Please send all your feedback.

Fixed a crashing bug in fancy threading patch
</title>
<description>
There is a bug in the code of the fancy thread patch that could make Alpine
crash if a message is expunged from a folder. This bug is present in snapshots
925 and 934 (and possibly earlier), and it is a leftover of a change in the
main code of Alpine that I had to update too. In technical terms, the problem
is that when a message is expunged, all cache information related to threading
is also deleted, so it must be retrieved in a different way, which is what
the patch now does.
