I received my Ph.D. in English and Textual Studies in 2003 from the University of Washington, where I currently work as a research manager for Learning & Scholarly Technologies. My research helps the university community identify the technological and support needs of faculty, researchers, students, staff, and clinicians.

I have spent most of my life in the Pacific Northwest. I grew up in the Cascade Mountains of Southern Oregon and attended Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR. I moved to Seattle with my husband Brent in 1997.

When I am not working, I enjoy cooking with herbs and vegetables from my garden, learning about and growing native plants, and spending a day lost in a good book. I am also an avid traveler. The photos on the left provide glimpses of places I visited on two trips to Europe.
