I'm Dave Williams. I work on understanding how the geometry of muscle proteins controls force generation. I focus on large-scale Monte Carlo simulations of muscle contraction as a way to explore and explain experimental data.
My simulations require a large amount of computer time, and are accomplished using Python and Amazon's cloud computing environment.
I split my time between the Regnier and Daniel labs at the University of Washington in Seattle.
In the past I have TAed Pbio 505 and 506, those sites can be found here and here. Also available: a seminar I taught on Arduinos.
More information about me is over here.
