I am a member of the leadership team of the Office of Information Management, responsible for the Business Applications group. The 65 staff in Business Applications maintain and support the University of Washington's enterprise administrative information systems including Human Resources/Payroll, Financial, E-Procurement, Student, Alumni/Development, Facilities Maintenance, Transportation, and others. The organization also includes the Applications Processing and Coordination group who oversee daily batch production of these systems. Prior to my current role, I was a member of the Student Information Systems team for 24 years, many as the Manager. I began my work on administrative information systems at Oberlin College, both while a student and for a few years after receiving my BA in Chemistry in 1978. I commute north to the Talbot Park area of Edmonds in my 2000 Volvo C70 coupe. I've always enjoyed taking pictures, especially with my Canon EOS D-30 digital SLR. For the past nine years the subject of most of my pictures has been my daughter Anne. Maintaining her web page takes up some of my free time. The rest is spent maintaining the parent information web site of Anne's school, the Maplewood Parent Cooperative Education Program in the Edmonds School District. |
