Fixing my Drive Train

I just returned from a 4,600 mile round trip to Lake Geneva, Wisc. from Seattle, Washington. Crossing over the Continental Divide I lost my overdrive. After returning the first thing I decided to do was dig in and get it fixed. After that many miles driving with a stock Model A running gear I was very eager to get that OD back in operation. After examination I found that I was my own worst enemy. When I assembled the overdrive I neglected to put the clutch ring in and after several very had shifts it broke the dog leg pawl. I was fortunate that the problem didn't disable the vehicle and I was able to continue the trip.
