"My Favorite Plate"
1943 Washington State Special Use Plate
During the "WAR" years the
State issued Victory Vehicle plates to those businesses who had vehicles
directly involved with the war effort. These could be seen on buses that
transported troops and other similarly used vehicles. This is probably
the most sought after Washington State plate by collectors. Very few are
known to exist and can command a premium price if ever offered for sale.
This is an example of the 1943 plate but the 1942 and 1945 had V V instead
of Victory Vehicle embossed into the plate.

How I Got Started Collecting
I started collecting plates after I rescued the old license
plates from the ceiling of my fathers basement. He was going to take them
down and throw them away. The rest is history.
