What is CXTerm?

CXTerm is a program that is used to display Chinese characters on an X-terminal. It must obtained from the ftp site, the source code must then be unpacked, installed, and configured.

It can then be used to display Chinese email, or it can be used to input Chinese. Input can be via pinyin, pinyin with tones, WuBi (5-stroke input), or English, translating to Chinese characters. If you are planning to input English, and having it translated to Chinese, you need to know Chinese characters, to make sure the correct Chinese characters are being entered for what you want to say.
