Capstone I: HuBio 600a - Transition to Clerkship

All second year students, which includes anyone who is completing their second year curriculum in June 2009 and/or entering clerkships in July 2009, MD/PhD and expanded students who have not yet taken Capstone or would like to attend Capstone as a refresher prior to entering clerkships, need to register through MyUW for Capstone I - HuBio 600A: Transition to Clerkships for the Spring Quarter

Capstone I Requirements:

Attendance to all Capstone I offerings is required to enter clerkships. 

Prerequisites for Entering Clerkships/PhD Coursework:

·          Non-clinical selectives need to be completed.

·          III proposal approved or documentation that III has been fulfilled in another manner.

·          Capstone I: Transition to Clerkships completed.

·          Photo ID Badge needs to be current and worn at all times in the clinical setting.  If your badge has been lost or stolen, contact Michelle Fleming @ flemingm@u.washington.edu, for replacement information.

·          Renewal of Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) AHA-Approved Course must be complete by May 31st 2009. 

§          Please complete BLS Survey

·          Criminal Background Checks must be completed by May 31st 2009. Go to http://www.myvci.com/washington and follow the directions posted on the website for Medical Students.  Any questions should be directed to Michelle Fleming @ flemingm@u.washington.edu.

·          Immunizations must be updated by May 31st 2009

§          Have annual PPD and other needed updates complete

§          Visit the Immunization Clinic March 30-April 3rd 9am-4pm T365

§          Or visit Hall Health Drop-In Clinic, Monday-Friday, 9am to 4pm

§          Contact Michelle Fleming @ flemingm@u.washington.edu with questions.

·          USMLE Step 1 taken prior to entering the clinical curriculum/PhD coursework.
