I am a Research Scientist and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Services in the School of Public Health at the University of Washington. My research uses qualitative and mixed-methods to focus on understanding the information and communication needs of public health, including how health information exchange, associated data sources and access to information can enhance and support the work of public health practitioners; evaluation of health information systems (HIS) and knowledge management processes to support evidence-based decision making; and developing approaches through stakeholder engagement to improve HIS and information design technologies in public health and clinical environments.
